It’s time to stop being “nice” with the truth! People need to know!

Many Christian believers have been led down a slippery slope straight to the gates of hell, and there is a special furor that our Lord Jesus has against the pastors who have led them astray. More often than not, their sin is not one of commission, but one of omission.
I know these are strong words, but they need to be said. You need to know. Pastors all around America and Europe need to wake up! Jesus words of righteous anger, poured out on the Pharisees, are the wake-up call for sleeping pastors. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to” Matt 23:13 NIV.
Those were pretty harsh words, and anyone who has read the Bible seriously will know the Pharisees were deserving of them. Many of our pastors are today as well. If I am right, this is a serious matter, a life and death matter. Do you disagree with me? Then let me present my case, and then you can present your rebuttal.
Over the course of the next few days, I will lay out one supporting statement of truth at a time. Feel free to reply as you see fit.
Return Friday for the first statement of truth.
Has your pastor told the congregation that if you do not have Jesus in your life, as Lord and Savior, and realize his death was for your sins, you will live eternally separated from God, in other words, in hell?
Has your pastor explained/taught that Jesus calls us into a relationship with him that starts with repentance and acknowledgement that we are sinners?
Has your pastor urged you to turn to Jesus, repent of the sins you know you have committed, accept the gift Jesus offers to you by his death on the cross, ask for God’s grace and mercy, and ask Jesus to come into your life as your Lord and Savior?
If your pastor has done these things, there is no need for you to read further. Your pastor has been faithful as a shepherd for the Lord Jesus Christ. Now it is your choice to follow your pastor to the foot of the cross.
For the rest of you, please read on, because there is a big “Danger” sign flashing in your face.
God is a loving God, and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means, he is the same God we read of in the Old Testament, and when he came to dwell with us as Emmanuel, Jesus, the Son of God, he was the same as yesterday, today, and forever.
Studying the life and teachings of Jesus allows us to draw closer to God, to know him more personally, because Jesus was God with flesh. He came and walked among us. Then he died for us, that we might live with him forever.
If you don’t know this, you need to. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.”
It’s an open invitation to all, but as with all invitations, a person either accepts or does not.
What will your decision be?
