About
My real journey with God started years ago when life circumstances brought me to an emotional sense of total worthlessness. I had bought the lie that I was a failure as a wife, a mother, a business owner, and as a human being. So, I had made up my mind to end my life and was considering ways to do so, when I had a sudden understanding that I could not leave three young children alone; I had to keep living! I cried out to God in hopes that he was real, “God, if you are there I need you! I really need you!” Today I have a picture hanging in my living room which is a visual reminder of the moment Jesus reached down into my life and lifted a crumpled, dejected, rag of a human, and placed her upright, and gave her the strength to live the day, and the next, and the next. My life has never been the same. All these years later I have come to know that the words below are true. God promised, and he keeps his promises, ALWAYS.
“Come near to God and he will come near to you” James 4:8 NIV.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me” Rev 3:20 NIV.
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow the Almighty. They say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust'” Ps 91:1-2 NIV.
